The Tavern

Open 10am to 5am, Six days a week.
'Closed' on Wednesdays.
Staff: Spade, Alex.
The Tavern offers a limited variety of alcohol, but it's something. These days it's whatever Spade can scavenge and some homemade moonshine. At current the specials are Moonshine and Corn Whiskey, but Spade is always experimenting with new possibilities.
The vast majority of the stock comes from barrels Spade found in the Tavern's basement and there's a sign on the bar letting people know they're drinking it at their own risk.
Fridays and Mondays are game nights, and the Tavern is well stocked with packs of cards if people want to come in for poker, black jack or anything else they can think up to play. Some days Spade can be found playing his guitar while Alex handles the rest and those days he'll take requests for any song he knows to try to add a little music to the mood.
There's an old broken jukebox in the corner, and it's got songs from the 50s and earlier on it, as well as some strange discs and titles in the mix that seem to have been added at a later point. All of them strange and foreign, belonging to worlds other than 'ours'.
Ale is in easy supply, with an ever fluctuating availability of vodka, scotch, whiskey, bourbon and other alcoholic beverages. Spade is pretty much always there, and he's grown a bit more generous here in Denouement. He's willing to share and even offer up conversation and card tricks. If you want to repay the favor of free booze, Spade is willing to take just about anything from food and clothing to cards, guitar picks, and other miscellaneous junk.
Spade spends most of his time behind the bar, playing with a pack of cards with a cigarette or a joint hanging from his lips. He'll be happy to deal you in for a game of Poker, or show you one of the many magic tricks he has up his sleeve. But when you lose your lot to him at cards, don't be surprised.
It's never a good idea to bet against a magician.
The tavern isn't very large, and it's kind of a mess of clutter, but all the pool balls are still in the table, and it's warm or cool as the weather calls for. It's a good place to kill time if you need to take your mind off of things for a while.
